Dear Web Site Visitor, Type in your own text here. This is a sample of a promotional marketing letter. Promotional letters use a lot of graphic emphasis devices to highlight benefits. The first paragraph should be short and might offer a benefit to the visitor. Short paragraphs are easier to read and add inviting white space. Emphasize a list of important points or benefits with bullets: An important benefit deserves emphasis An important benefit deserves emphasis Bold subheads can be used to break up a long section of text and introduce a new benefit. Try using color too. You can also use underlined text, bold text or a little body copy in a second color. Sometimes if one or two paragraphs contain important information - presenting the offer for example - the entire paragraph can be indented - even underlined. The closing paragraph should affirm a reason to respond and provide a "call to action" - tell the visitor to e-mail for further information or purchase your product. Sincerely,
Jackie McCutcheon P.S. The P.S. is a strong marketing tool. You can repeat the offer, introduce a gift, remind the visitor of the expiration date on a special offer, etc. |
